About Athi River
Located 30 kilometers southeast of Kenya, 30km of Nairobi in the county of Machakos, Athi River (also called Mavoko) is one of Kenya's fastest growing urban centers. Athi River was founded as a small town in the colonial era and was set up as a railway station. It is named after the Athi River, one of Kenya's longest and second longest rivers.
